Meeting of January 20 / 1:20 Meeting


Wednesday, January 20 there was a new meeting between the company, union representatives and the RSA. By employees has been put forward the proposal to retain at least part of the active site Pederobba professionalism, especially the customer service, the credit department and some service roles. The company has not ruled out a priori that case but has postponed any further discussion at the next meeting.
For employees which has opened the way to Lugano, continue the negotiations. The proposed deals as good in terms of treatment economic and career opportunities have proved to be not in line with the expectations of employees. In particular, salaries estimated to average wages would be lower than the Swiss, the same office. The incentive offered would not cover in any case, moving expenses and higher cost of living in Lugano.

Finally, as regards the redundancies, is to ensure those who will not pay any social safety nets and a possible joint contribution of output which considers the period of severe unemployment crisis we are facing.

Reunion of 20:01:10

Last Wednesday the 20th of January there has taken place a reunion between the company, represents of the unions and our RSA.

From the side of the workers there has been forwarded a proposal to maintain at least a part of the professional activities in Pederobba, in particular the Customer service, the credit department and some of the internal service positions. The company was reserved in their reply , but not negative and has left it open to be discussed on the following reunion.

For the workers to whom there has been offered a position in Lugano, the discussion of the settlement will continue. The prospects of the first offers presented to be good on the economical side and in prospect of career possibility’s, occurred not to be in line with the expectations of the workers. In particular the offered pay checks seem to be quite inferior to the Swiss average pay’s in level of the job’s descriptions. The incentive offered doesn’t cover the costs of transfer and the extra cost of live in Lugano.

In the case of the redundancies, for all those whom will remain without a payment from regular income it will have to be guaranteed to get all possible social benefits , sustainment payments and social aids possible. This considering, the actual very difficult crisis in reemployment possibilities.

There is emerging the necessity to proceed parallel on the different positions, to be able in the end an equal co divided intend for those who will go to Switzerland and those who will remain, with or without an occupation in Italy.

Therefore we think it is not likely there will be a quick end to the discussions between the union and the VF represents. For the conclusion of the agreement which has a term at 75 days. As for now the solution is most likely to be settled at the beginning of march.
